Reset (Chicago) Host Role Overview

As a Host Volunteer, you will be a welcoming presence at our drop-in center, ensuring that participants feel safe, supported, and valued. You will play a crucial role in creating a warm and inviting environment, assisting with drop-in needs, and fostering community among the women.

Hosts assist in meeting with and hosting participants at the Reset-Chicago Drop-In. This involves helping with meal prep for community dinners, showers, food pantry, hygiene products, and community recreational time while the Program Manager and Case Managers are occupied with individual meetings and/or groups. Hosts are considered NH representatives at the Reset-Chicago program and should be highly relational. This volunteer will connect with participants coming in for services during community hours. Hosts are asked to play games, engage in meaningful conversations, and ensure that a new participant is welcomed into the Reset-Chicago place with hospitality and kindness. Host roles are available on Thursday from 5 pm to 7 pm (times vary as the space needs vary).
