As Naomi’s House has grown, our volunteer numbers have grown, and we are looking to add a new team member. The Manager of Volunteer Engagement (MVE) provides assistance to the Director of Operations in developing and coordinating volunteers and community partnerships. The MVE helps to increase awareness of volunteer opportunities at NH, facilitate the volunteer application process, train volunteers, maintain communication with current volunteers, and provide support for Program Managers in the coordinating and scheduling of volunteer events. In addition, the MVE will oversee the management and development of local partnerships and relationships such as church engagement, awareness events, and meetings with potential partners.

This role will provide support to Rise, Reside, and Reset, engaging with the Program Managers about current needs and volunteer opportunities specific to their program. The MVE understands and can clearly articulate the mission of NH as well as the vision of where we feel God is leading us. This position requires someone with strong communication and organizational gifts and people management skills. This is a part-time position, working 20 hours each week.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads the volunteer process communicating with potential and prospective volunteers, facilitating the volunteer application process, leading volunteer trainings, and providing feedback and support to volunteers.

  • Guides the on-boarding process for volunteers, including program placement, appreciation, and support, ensuring volunteer standards and expectations.

  • Actively fosters relationships with volunteers and community partners to create and ensure a healthy, safe and God-honoring environment and culture for participants, volunteers and staff

  • Attends partnership and awareness events as able to promote serving opportunities at NH and develop relationships within the community.
